KARACHI: Sindh local bodies minister Saeed Ghani has said notification issued by Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) for closure of schools in residential areas is outcome of some misperception.
He said this while talking to media men after hearing of petition filed against him in Sindh High Court by a candidate who has lost election against him in PS-104.
He said as per SBCA law, operating schools in residential areas is allowed. But there is a law in this regard. Therefore, students from schools and their parents should not worry about the education of their children. The owners of schools also should not worry. But they should get regularize their schools under SBCA laws.
We cannot put future of millions of children at stake, he remarked. There is no such plan under consideration to lock up or close schools, he added.
