Sahiwal (Bureau Report) : Director Local Government Sahiwal Division Dr. Saifullah has said that improving the cleanliness of cities is the moral responsibility of the employees of local bodies as well as all sections of the society, cities and towns cannot be kept clean without the cooperation of the people. Therefore appeals to them to keep their houses as well as the street neighborhood clean and always put garbage in the dustbin. He said this while addressing the participants of an awareness walk under the “Sathra Punjab” program in which Deputy Director Local Government Akram Khan Baloch, Chief Monitoring Officer of Department of Local Government Punjab Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Tabasim, Chief Officer Corporation Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed, Chief Officer District Council Payam Ghani and employees of Local Government Department and students of schools participated in large numbers. The walk started at the commissioner’s office and ended at the district council office where the participants carried banners and placards highlighting the importance of cleanliness – Addressing the walk, Director of Local Government Dr. Saifullah said, “The program is a revolutionary program for the comprehensive cleaning of cities as well as villages, for the success of which the staff of the Local Government Department will participate fully. He emphasized the need to involve the people in this program at the village level. Addressing the participants of the walk, Chief Monitoring Officer Punjab Dr. Abdullah Tabasim said that the aim of launching the Sathra Punjab program by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is to promote the integrated sanitation system at the village level for the first time in history. There will be other results.
