Rawalakot, (Parliament Times): On the occasion of “International May Day”, rallies were held in Rawalkot under the auspices of labor organizations and student organizations. On the occasion of Labor Day, small workers and street workers participated in large numbers in rallies and events. After reaching the Hall District Complex, the participants of the rally took the form of a rally, carrying red flags, books, and banners, putting red bands around their necks, and shouting slogans in favor of the workers. Iftikhar Shaheen and others said that we demand that the government announce the labor policy and that the salary of the laborer should be equal to one tola of gold in proportion to the inflation.Those who cannot give their children two meals a day, now we have to continue the struggle of Shigago until the laborers get their rights. Today, inflation has made it impossible for the people to live. Day by day, inflation bombs are being dropped. There is a demand from the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir that all contract employees should be made permanent. The laborer is not getting his wages. It cannot be broken. There is no hearing of the workers. On this day, we salute the workers of Chicago, who have raised the voice of the workers in the whole world by making sacrifices. We have fought against these rulers and these officers. We have to speed it up. We commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on May 1, 1886 in Chicago. Today, we pay homage to these martyrs.People are on the streets against flour and electricity, by shutting down this country, we have to prove our power. In the present era, the taxes on the workers have been suppressed and the taxes are being increased day by day. We are all against these rulers and capitalists. They have to be one who are drinking the blood of the laborers. The laborers are being killed even today in the form of inflation. Today is the day of renewal of the pledge. Today, by changing the pension laws, efforts are being made to send the working class home without pension. The working class will not allow this cruelty to happen. The road employees do not get paid on time.
We will not let our agreement and unity end today we also pay tribute to our brother operator Nisar Khan who has separated from us Why are the problems of PWD employees not solved? We have given a charter of demand. If our problems are not solved by May 27, we will organize a program in Muzaffarabad on May 28 and tell the rulers. The speakers said that May 1 is labor day. It is like when there is a holiday all over the world, but no one can oblige the laborer on that day. The labor brothers should work on their own time. No one can take work after the time, but in the presence of compulsion, we always provide service for a few days. Later, a letter will be issued to the government which has been decided in the General Council. They say to the government and the secretary that if our employees die, then the sons of the deceased should be appointed to these posts and the ban on appointments should be lifted. Scale number one. The appointment of the secretaries also follows the will of the secretaries, it should be abolished by including the representative of PWD in the committee and appointments should be made. We will not allow appointments to be made on the will of MLAs. Appointments will be based on merit. We will not run after ministers and advisors. Before the budget, we will tell the rulers what are our problems. We will fire the person who will not work. District president and secretary general employees should solve the problems. If not solved, we will tell them what will happen. .
