RAWALPINDI, (Parliament Times) : Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) while remembering Maulana Showkat A. Shah Shaheed on his martyrdom anniversary today paid him rich tributes for the services and sacrifices he rendered for the cause of national liberation of Jammu Kashmir.
In a statement issued from central information office, the JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar said that his services shall remain unforgettable and cannot be overlooked in any way.
The JKLF spokesman said that Showkat Shaheed’s struggle for freedom and efforts to eradicate sectarianism from Jammu Kashmir would always be remembered.
Showkat A. Shah embraced martyrdom on 8th April 2011 in Srinagar, he informed.
Maulana Showkat worked continuously for the cause of freedom and his efforts for the unity of Ummah, promotion and publication of Quran and Sunnah, his zeal to promote authentic Quran and Sunnah and communicating it to the new generations, his philanthropy, his works in the field of education and social work, his dream of an Islamic university and his leadership bear a witness to the fact that he was a legendary figure who cannot be ignored even by his adversaries and enemy, he added.
Shaheed Moulana Showkat’s close association with the incarcerated chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik was unprecedented and he stood by his relationship even all odds.
The spokesman termed him a scholarly patriot, visionary and compassionate son of the soil.
