ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : President Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Jammu and Kashmir and former Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has said that the government has disabled the legislative assembly. The government should call the meeting, otherwise, we will hold the meeting on the steps of the assembly after Eid.

The government is violating the constitution by not calling the meeting. There is no such thing as government in the state. Ad-hac employees are in full protest. Ad-hoc and contingent employees are not being paid salaries for nine months. The opposition circles are being subjected to the worst political revenge. Development funds were stopped, he said.

In my government under the leadership of Imran Khan, a historic Ramadan package was given, but the current government has completely failed to provide relief to the people in Ramadan. Bogus and fake cases have been made against Imran Khan, he said.

The current government is a guest for a few months. A Form 47 government has no constitutional or moral justification. He expressed these views while talking on the occasion of the Iftar dinner in honor of senior journalists who are performing duties in Rawalpindi, Islamabad.
Leader of Opposition and Central Joint Secretary Khawaja Farooq Ahmed and others were also present.

While President AKNS Amjad Chaudhry, Syed Akram Shah, Sardar Zahid Tabsum, Aamir Mehboob, Raja Kafeel Ahmed, Basharat Abbasi, Sardar Hameed, Javed Iqbal Chaudhry, Abid Abbasi, Khalid Gurdizi, Shahzad Rathore, Khawar Nawaz Raja, Ejaz Khan, Nisar Kayani, Zahid Bashir, Rizwan Abbasi, Kashif Mir, Muhammad Bilal Rafiq Jutt, Asghar Hayat, Danish Irshad, Abid Hashmi, Ali Hasnain Naqvi, Saqib Rathore, Maulvi Umar Farooq, Sardar Talha, Fayyaz Mehmood, Sohail Rashid, Raja Shehzad, Arham Khan, Naqash Abbasi, Negar Niazi and others were also present and attended the iftar dinner.

Former Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi while talking to the journalists said that all the assembly sessions called by the present government consisted of one day only. The government is violating the constitution by not calling the meeting. When the current prime minister was the speaker, he held the meeting for four consecutive months and now he is running away from the assembly meeting.

The Assembly is the only forum where it can be discussed and the government can be held accountable on the issues of flour crisis, electricity bill issue, Adhac employees issue, restrictions on media and local government representatives, he said.

Development funds of the opposition constituencies have been stopped by the government. Funds are not being given despite the court orders, the government is violating the constitution by ignoring the court orders. I also condemn the government’s retaliatory actions against journalists and if the government took action against any journalist or media house, PTI would give a strong reaction, he said.

Ministers are also unaware of the government policy, the bureaucracy is also worried. Sometimes a decree is issued that certain employees have been dismissed and sometimes a notification of their extension is given. The government should come to its senses and reform itself, he said.
