Muzaffarabad:<  (Parliament Times)  A protest rally was organized under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against the locking of the main Jamia Mosque of Srinagar on the occasion of Juma Al-Wada(Last Friday of Ramadan) by the Indian authorities.

According to the details, protest dharna was held at Khatam-e-Nabuwat Chowk followed by rally in which protesters marched towards the main gate of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

The protestors were raising slogans like “Shame Shame Indian Govt Shame”, “Lockdown of mosques is not acceptable” and others besides carried banners on which derogatory phrases against the closure of Srinagar’s Jamia Mosque were written.

While addressing the protestants, the speakers said that the Indian authorities are continuously violating the religious rights of Kashmiri Muslims.

“Putting locks on the main Mosque of Srinagar and preventing Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq from leading the thousands of worshipers is the worst violation of the religious rights of Kashmiri citizens”, they lamented

Speakers asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Narendra Modi is following conspiracies to destroy the Islamic culture and civilization in Jammu and Kashmir.

They said that the ban on the gathering of Eid prayers in the main Eid Gah of Srinagar on the occasion of the coming Eid-ul-Fitr is an acknowledgment of the cowardice, panic and defeat of the Indian rulers.

Speakers said that how long India will be able to stick to the policy of silencing the voice of citizens by force.

“Kashmiri people will continue their struggle for the independence of state”, speakers reiterated.

Speakers further said that the Indian government should refrain from imposing the agenda of Hindutva on Jammu and Kashmir.

“The OIC should take notice of the anti-Muslim actions taken by the Indian government in Occupied Kashmir”, they demanded.

“The world concise should raise their voice against India for violating the religious rights of the citizens in Occupied Kashmir”, they added.

Rally was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Raja Aftab Ahmed Khan, Shaukat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim, Muhammad Ishaq Shaheen, Khawaja Muhammad Saadiq, Syed Mehmood Shah, Khalid Mehmood Zaidi, Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Nadeem Alam Awan, Muhammad Aslam Inqalabi, Faisal Farooq Sheikh, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Muhammad Riaz Awan, Tanveer Ahmed Durrani, Muhammad Aimal Farzam and others.
