Muzaffarabad /MIRPUR  (AJK)  (Parliament Times) : Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Ch. Anwarul Haq has said that as the elections in India were drawing nearer, Modi and his party would resort to the same anti-Muslim anti-Pakistan, and anti-Kashmir rhetoric to whip up the nationalist sentiment in India.

Addressing an iftar dinner hosted in honor of journalists, the AJK premier said that the BJP has a long history of using anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan rhetoric as a tool to achiesve its political goal and push forward its agenda.
Referring to India’s August 5, 2019 decision, the Prime Minister said that the move was outrightly rejected by the people of Kashmir and Pakistan as well as civilized nations of the world. Voicing his serious concern over the worsening political and human rights situation in the Indian-occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir, he said, “Violations of human rights, forced disappearances, bloodshed and violence and killing of innocent people by the Indian occupation forces have become a daily routine in Occupied Kashmir”.About the Indian Defense Minister the off-the-cuff statements regarding Azad Kashmir, he said that it was better for Indian politicians to stop daydreaming. He said that he witnessed the Kashmiris’ passion and determination.
He said that as per the international covenants, Kashmiris have the right to defend themselves and their motherland. Kashmiris, he said, would never compromise on their freedom. He said that Pakistan is a center of hope for the people of Kashmir. Highlighting the role of mainstream media, the PM said that journalists can play an important role in promoting the Kashmir cause. He said that besides promoting the cause of Kashmir, the government would continue the struggle for the region’s socioeconomic development and its accession to Pakistan. He said that the coalition government’s recent initiatives have been instrumental in restoring the trust of the people in the system. The PM said that during his eleven-month-long rule, not a single case of corruption or misuse of authority has surfaced. To strengthen the system and serve the people of the state, he said, was the sole mission of his life. The PM said that he would neither allow anyone whosoever to misuse the taxpayers’ money nor would he allow anyone to disrupt the law and order in the state. On this occasion, Senior Minister Colonel (Retd) Waqar Ahmad Noor, Government Ministers Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Raja Muhammad Siddique Khan, Nisar Ansar Abdali, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Sardar Muhammad Javed Ayub, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Javed Iqbal Badhanvi, Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq. Sardar Zia Qamar, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Mian Abdul Waheed, Ms. Nisara Abbasi, Ms. Taqdees Gilani, Information Secretary Ansar Yaqub, and a large number of journalists were also present.
