ISLAMABAD, (Raja Furqan Ahmed) : The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has initiated a rigorous crackdown on illicit construction activities in the Mauve Area of G-12, marking a significant step in curbing encroachments and unauthorized structures. Under the direct orders of the Director General of FGEHA, officials have launched a comprehensive operation targeting illegal constructions within the precincts of Sector G-12. By rule, the new construction is banned in G12 so Seven to ten illegal constructions have been demolished. Spearheaded by the Enforcement Wing of the Authority, under the leadership of the Director (Enforcement), the operation involves a concerted effort by Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and their teams to vigilantly monitor and address the proliferation of illegal constructions and encroachments perpetrated by residents and land grabbers in the area. Reports indicate that the operation has already resulted in the demolition of seven to ten illegal constructions, signaling the unwavering commitment of the Authority to uphold the sanctity of land regulations and urban planning standards. Moreover, the Authority has issued a resolute warning, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards any further unauthorized constructions in the region. Officials have underscored that stringent measures will be enforced against individuals found in violation of the directives, underscoring the seriousness with which the issue is being addressed. The Director General of the Housing Authority has affirmed that any structures deemed illegal will be promptly dismantled, underscoring the determination to restore order and adherence to regulatory frameworks in the region. The enforcement squad also stopped illegal construction work at G14 and the G13 sector, which were found in violation of the approved building plan. The materials were confiscated as well. Furthermore, illegal water bores were stopped along the footpaths and debris was removed from the footpath at G14 sector. Another attempt of the mafia was spoiled by the guards as some tractors were taking soil from outside sectors of FGEHA as it is strictly prohibited. Earlier, the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) issued notices to those house residents who erected fences and gates on illegal land. According to the details, now the date of the notices expired and the FGEHA enforcement wing took action against notices under the command of the Deputy Director Enforcement, who visited door-to-door houses of the main corridor of G13 and G14. The team found some illegally constructed gates and fences which were removed from the encroached area. Meanwhile, some people received notices and reconstructed gates and fences according to the laws of FGEHA. Moreover, several community people reached the office of the enforcement wing to meet the high officials to demand more time and give assurance that they themselves would remove the illegal construction. The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has also taken serious notice of the blocking of roads, footpaths, and construction of fences around private and government-owned houses and buildings in the G13 and G14 sectors. According to FGEHA officials, all such constructions are illegal and liable to be demolished however, the encroachers have hardly paid any heed to the warnings of the FGEHA issued time and again. According to the sources, under the command of Deputy Director and Assistant Director, along with the staff of the Enforcement wing, demolished the under-construction fences at the G13 sector of Islamabad. Meanwhile, the Authority has once again decided to issue a warning through public notice to the residents of the G13 sector to remove the fences and construction car parking around the buildings on FGEHA’S land. Furthermore, the Authority is distributing notices on a daily basis to all those residents who constructed illegal fences and car parking. Lastly, the general public is warned not to do such construction around the buildings, which is illegal, and authorities can remove it.
