Lahore, (PR) : The Communication and Works Department is thrilled to announce the launch of the Sarkain Bahal—Khushal Punjab road repair and rehabilitation program throughout Punjab. An important meeting, chaired by Minister for Communication and Works Punjab, Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Bherth, and Chairman P&D Board, Mr. Barrister Nabeel Javed Awan, convened at the Planning and Development office on Saturday afternoon. The meeting was attended by Secretary C&W, Mr. Sohail Ashraf, Secretary P&D, Dr. Asif Tufial, Member IDP P&D, Dr. Abid Bodala, and officers of Communication and Works Punjab. Secretary C&W presented the comprehensive plan for the Sarkain Bahal—Khushal Punjab program, outlining the repair and rehabilitation of 590 arterial and collector roads across the province to be completed within six months. Minister Bherth, emphasizing the magnitude of the endeavor, revealed that a staggering 11,496 kilometers of roads would undergo repair and rehabilitation, meticulously surveyed beforehand by field formations of the Communication and Works Department and concerned District Administrations.
