Quotes from Seerat Tabi’in, by Dr. Abdur-Rahman Rafat Pasha, and today’s era comparison at a glance: The famous and glorious Tabie Ameerul Momineen, Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (ra) had not even finished the burial of his predecessor, Caliph Sulaiman bin Abdul Malik. Sensing unusual movement around him, he asked what it this? People said: O Ameerul Momineen! These are official rides that have been presented for you. He gave a wrong look, and then said, “What do I have to do with them?” Bring me my mule, that is enough for me, the order was obeyed. But as soon as he mounted his mule, a police officer came and walked forward in a protective manner. A party of soldiers accompanied him. Bright spears were in their hands. He said why did you come? I don’t need you or your companions. I don’t need any special arrangement for me because I am a common man among Muslims and I wake up just like them and does the evening just like them. Saying this, he went ahead until he visited the mosque and instructed to announce the prayer in congregation. Thus the announcement was made and a large number of worshipers gathered in the mosque. Now he stood up and after praising Allah and salutations upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O people! This responsibility of caliphate has been placed on me without my will, any desire and without consulting the Muslims. And thus I have been put to a severe test. I declare that the necklace of my allegiance is removed from the neck of your people. You are completely free; choose whomever you want as your caliph. Hearing this, let the people shout in unison. O Ameerul Momineen! We choose you. We are happy and satisfied with you in every way. By the grace of Allah and opportunity, take up the responsibility of caliph and do your work. When you saw that not a single voice was raised in the opposition and the people were completely satisfied, then again after praising and glorifying Allah and salutations upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), he advised the people to adopt piety. He exhorted to be disinterested in this world and to prepare for the Hereafter, and reminded of death in such an effective and heartwarming way that even the hardest hearts were waxed and tears flowed from sinful eyes. He’s sincere words went down into people’s hearts Then he raised his voice a little and said to the people, “O people! Whoever obeys Allah, obeying him is obligatory on you. And whoever disobeys Allah, obeying him is not obligatory on any of you.” people! Obey me as long as I obey Allah before you. And if I disobey Allah, then you will not be obliged to obey me. The people agreed to do the same and got down from the member and went to Qasr Caliphate. Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (ra) wanted to rest for some time after coming to Qasr Caliphate? because he was tired enough, his son Abdul Malik, who was seventeen years old, entered the room and spoke very politely. O Ameerul Momineen! Do you want to relax? Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (ra): I am very tired, so I feel the need to rest for a while. Abdul-Malik: Do you want to rest the people’s property without returning it to their owners? Hazrat Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (ra): Son, I did not sleep last night because of the death of your uncle Sulaiman. I could not rest. Allah willing, after the Zuhr prayer, I will decide the cases that have been unjustly taken from the people, and I will return them to their heirs. Abdul-Malik: O Ameerul Momineen! What is the guarantee for this? Will you survive till noon? Hearing this from his son, Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (ra) stood up and said: Son, you are right, there is no guarantee that I will live till noon. It is important that important matters be decided immediately. After saying this, he hugged his son to his chest, kissed him on the forehead and said: Thanks be to Allah, He has created such a young man from my back who helps me in fulfilling the rules of religion. After saying this, he got up and He announced that anyone who has been treated unfairly should submit his complaint Dear readers: Cases of hundreds of poor, widows and needy have been stalled in the courts for years and there is no hearing. Today Somoto action is limited only to elites and governments, for whom judgments are issued even at night. Retired employees from Allied Bank have been suffering from mental illness for the last several decades trying to get their rights. Thousands of old, sick, elderly and their widows have resorted to lawyers and courts for many years to get their rights, which is a cause of great difficulty and trouble for the retired class in this high tide of inflation. The situation is such that the Peshawar High Court ruled in favor of the retired employees of the Allied Bank on January 22nd, 2015. On January 17th, 2020, the Supreme Court of Pakistan dismissed the appeal filed by the said bank and upheld the decision of the Peshawar High Court maintained and thus the highest court of the country i.e. the Supreme Court also decided in favor of the retired employees. In addition, in February 2018, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan decided in favor of the retired employees of the bank to pay pension Eight thousand rupees. It is ironic that even after a period of time, the weaker sections look at every new appearance of the courts with hope, but eventually return to despair and regret, saying that one day, Allah willing, the clouds of despair will disappear. It is a fact that the scourge of corruption in the country has brought the country to the brink of destruction. Now that the newly elected Chief Minister of Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has taken an oath to the entire House that: will not do corruption in the province, will not allow corruption, and will not leave those who do corruption. The legitimate rights of the retired employees of Allied Bank are pending despite the judgments of the courts; they should also be looked into. The bank management is reluctant to give their rightful rights to the retired senior employees and their families from their own institution. The bank has not paid pension and dues to the retired employees as per their last pay drawn of retirement and not till date the pension has been increased which is totally unfair and against the principles of human rights. Allied Bank retired employees request the New Government to take the prayers of the elderly community by implementing the problems of the pensioners. Currently, pensioners across Pakistan are living day and night in difficult conditions due to record-breaking inflation. It is a bitter reality that it is not difficult but impossible to pull the car of life in the meager pension of these old elders. It is sad to say that till date no government has done practically anything to solve the problems of retired pensioners. Not even done while the pensioners live only on their limited pension.
