Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Experts from the MFA and Representatives of the Professional Community will present Czech Priorities in the Field of Scientific Diplomacy.
Czechia has scientific research potential and is seeking to intensify international cooperation in this area. Strengthening science diplomacy and the internationalisation of Czech research, development, innovation and education is one of the government’s priorities. Therefore, on Wednesday 28 February 2024, a meeting with ambassadors and other representatives of diplomatic missions will be held at the Czernin Palace on instruments and priorities for cooperation in the framework of scientific diplomacy.
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ji?í Kozák and Deputy Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Jana Havlíková will introduce the representatives of diplomatic missions to the field of science, research and innovation. Kate?ina Sequensová, Director General of the Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will then talk about the main tools and activities of Czech science diplomacy. The specific needs of internationalisation and the offer of the Czech academic environment will be presented by Miroslav Lávi?ka, Rector of the University of West Bohemia, and Michal Otyepka, representative of the Czech Institute of Research and Advanced Technologies CATRIN of Palacký University in Olomouc, will speak on behalf of research institutions.
