Sahiwal, (Bureau Report) : Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP), a local partner of Aawaz II, successfully held a district-level dialogue to celebrate the World Interfaith Harmony Week in Sahiwal. This event, part of an initiative by Aawaz II, brought together a diverse array of religious leaders, local government officials, and community members, all united in the pursuit of interfaith understanding and harmony.
The event provided a platform for religious minorities to express their experiences, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and respect in the community. Through engaging dialogue, participants expressed their appreciation for the diverse religious traditions present in Sahiwal. More importantly, the event emphasized the importance of a collaborative environment where religious leaders, local government officials, and local communities worked together to develop strategies to combat discrimination based on religion or belief.
Key outcomes from this event include actionable recommendations, documented at the VFs, to address the concerns of religious minorities, which the Lodhran pilot project and local stakeholders will collaboratively work to implement. These efforts aim to foster a more inclusive, harmonious society, reflective of our shared values and aspirations.
LPP expresses its sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the success of this event and remains dedicated to promoting interfaith harmony in Sahiwal.
Aawaz II remains committed to its vision of a more inclusive, peaceful, and tolerant society and extends its gratitude to all participants and supporters who made this event a success.
