Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : Forests Minister of Azad Kashmir Ch. Muhammad Akmal Sargala has said that the current government is using all resources to promote the protection and plantation of forests in Azad Kashmir.

Under the plan, this year, 3.7 million saplings will be planted on public and private vacant lands in Azad Kashmir. Along with this, it will also help in the protection and growth of herbs. By planting more trees in Azad Kashmir, we can create a green country for future generations. The survival of Pakistan is only in plantation. To make a clean and green Azad Kashmir, more and more trees are to be planted so that this region will be green and beautiful. Plantation charity is going on, he said.

Our future is connected with plantation. Temperature is increasing day by day due to global warming in the world. Plantation is indispensable, therefore the public and the Forestry Department must ensure maximum plantation, along with plantation, awareness will be raised among the public regarding plantation, he said.

The people should play their full role to make this campaign a success, in which the full participation of the local people should be ensured. By including suggestions based on public consultations and committees, plantations would be made on empty private and government areas, he said.

To increase the participation and interest in the plantation, the public should be included in the plantation. Based on the public’s suggestions, forest conservation committees have been implemented based in the villages, he said.

The region of Azad Kashmir is very fertile. The method is planting. There is a need to raise awareness among the people regarding planting and tree breeding. In this regard, the people should raise awareness regarding the protection of forests, it will benefit future generations, he said.
