Wana ; In Wana on January 6, a police constable who was injured in a police vehicle remote control bomb blast died of his injuries.
The funeral prayer of martyred policeman Gulam Khan Wazir was performed with official honors at Police Line Wana.
On this occasion, the civil and military officials placed floral wreaths on the casket wrapped in the national flag and the armed police team saluted the martyr.
After performing the funeral, the body of the martyred police constable corpse was sent to his native area in an ambulance, where he was buried.
A large number of police officers including Commander Wana Brigade Mohammad Owais Shamim, Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Nasir Khan, DPO Farman Ullah South Waziristan Lower, and tribal elders attended the funeral.
Later, DPO Farman Ullah lauded the courage and bravery of the police martyrs for confronting the terrorists, that the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for the security of the country and the protection of the lives and property of the people will not go in vain.
DPO further said that such cowardly attacks by terrorists cannot demoralize the police force.
