WANA: A team of engineers visited Tanai and Spin area of ?district headquarters Wana South Waziristan Lower (SWL) with the support of FC South KP and Gomal Scouts to install hydel power plant and the survey of hydel power plant was completed.

Commandant Gomal Scouts said that the survey team has given a proposal to make electricity at three feasible sites.
He said, this plant will provide electricity to 600 households in tanai and spin area local people.

Adam Khan Wazir, prominent journalist and chairman of Wana Union of Journalists, said in this regard that Commandant Gomal scouts took personal interest in the start of survey work on this big project.

Chairman Adam Khan Wazir said that the construction of this hydel power will make it possible to supply electricity to different households for free, however, the electricity problem of most of the houses will be solved.

Sherullah Wazir, a social activist from Spin, said that the day and night hard work of Commandant Gomal Scouts paid off and finally started working on this big project.

On the other hand, the tribal elders said that the continuous efforts of FC South KP and Gomal Scouts to overcome the energy crisis in Pakistan are not hidden from anyone.
The elders said that at present there is a shortage of about 2500 megawatts of electricity in the country.
Due to which load shedding is going on for 8 to 10 hours in the city areas and 18 to 20 hours in rural areas.
Officials said the government, FC South and Gomal Scouts are working on various projects to end the crisis.
The elders said that there are great opportunities to generate electricity through water in Pakistan, especially in the merged tribal districts.
Elders said, if the government pays a little more attention to this, the long-standing problems of electricity in our districts will be solved.
Elders say that the hydel power plant works in a very simple way, only the water height, quantity and angle of the water pipe have to be taken care of.
He says that if the government invests in this field so six to ten megawatts of electricity can be generated only in their village and from a single drain.
By which the lack of electricity in the country can be eliminated forever.

The area elders thanked Commandant Gomal Scouts that he won the hearts of the people of Tanai and Spin by paying special attention to the project.
