.Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Lovers
Iftikhar Chaudhry voiced deep worry about the surge in theft and violence against returning Pakistanis on Rawalpindi highways. The organization urgently appeals to the Pakistan High Commission in the UK for intervention.

Chaudhry urged the establishment of a dedicated emergency helpline for overseas Pakistanis’ safe travel and the swift removal of police checkpoints causing escalating incidents.

Highlighting the growing insecurity, Chaudhry stressed the distressing experiences faced by overseas Pakistanis, resulting in theft, injuries, and loss of life. He questioned the safety in the capital, pointing to fake police criminals with Motorola wireless sets, exposing law enforcement failures.

Chaudhry revealed no recovery of stolen funds, leaving the community in constant fear and hindering investments in Pakistan. This fear, he warned, discourages the younger generation from returning and investing.

Proposing an immediate halt to police checkpoints and a special helpline, Chaudhry urged the Prime Minister and Army Chief to assure overseas Pakistanis during international visits. He called for a security review by the Pakistan High Commission and local organizations.

Chaudhry stressed the need to restore security and pride for overseas Pakistanis, urging swift government action to address community concerns.
