Paris (Parliament Times): A Christmas dinner was organized at the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris. On this occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to France Asim Iftikhar Ahmed welcomed the guests and thanked them for participating in the event.
He said that Christmas is a time of joy and remembrance and a message of peace, tolerance and compassion for everyone around the world.
The ambassador added that Islam gives a message of peace and the universal teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reflect this.

He said we are committed to ensuring fundamental rights and equal citizenship opportunities for all Pakistanis, which is in line with the vision of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The Ambassador of Pakistan appreciated the contribution of the Pakistani Christian community living abroad and said that they are an important part of the Pakistani diaspora. The Christian community actively participated in the creation of Pakistan in 1947 and ever since in nation building, they are an integral part and integral part of our multicultural society.
He said that the United Nations General Assembly recently unanimously approved the traditional resolution jointly presented by the Philippines and Pakistan, which calls for ‘inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue for peace, understanding and and promote cooperation’.
The Christmas dinner was well attended by French friends and their families, Pakistani Christian community, diplomats and people from all walks of life.
