Bahrain ; Kingdom of Bahrain hosted its first hands-on training on Laser Proctology at Sulaimania Hospital Ministry Of Health And Royal Defense Force Hospital Royal Medical Services.
The workshop has been conducted with the collaboration of Lasotronix Poland and Pure Life Support Bahrain, a distributor of laser machinery in Bahrain. Doctors from Sulaimania Hospital and the Royal Defense Forces Hospital attended this workshop.
Laser proctology is a term that refers to the treatment of conditions related to the lower rectum and anus, using laser ablation.
Laser ablation uses a high-energy laser to accurately treat affected areas of tissues without pain or bleeding. The procedures are minimally invasive so come with the benefit of short recovery times.
Laser proctology procedures have success rates and complications are minimal and rare.
Dr.Khan who is pioneer of laser proctology in Saudi Arabia was invited by the Ministry Of Health Bahrain as a master trainer and had performed live surgeries in a hospital and trained them about how to perform safe laser surgery.
During his lecture, he highlighted how laser surgery has made patients’ lives easy by having fewer complications and early recovery as compared to open surgery.
Doctors appreciated this live surgical session and learned how to manage complicated cases & requested similar workshops in the future.
Dr. Yasir from Sulaimania Hospital appreciated this hands-on training and felt confident in the laser proctology session with Dr. Arshad Khan.
Dr Tamer Abbasi requested more laser proctology workshops for his department of surgery and will plan future conferences on this topic for the betterment of his doctors.
Mr. Ebrahim from Pure Life Support talked to us and explained the role of lasers in vascular surgery, pain management, and dental surgery.
He will introduce this helpful device to many countries and will recommend doctors attend proper training courses before using this device.
Pakistani Doctor Forum and the Pakistani community in Bahrain were very much obliged to see Pakistani Doctors playing a significant role in the Medical Field in Bahrain.
