Ghazala Anbreen

Wasif Ali Wasif was a renowned person of rare qualities of head and heart. The most indomitable of which I found was his kind attitude towards other living creatures, a benign heart and preaching for forgives. These were the divine attributes and he was a practicing Muslim who led a simple and austere life, without any ostentation or showing off or fame. Here I would be referring to a few of his sayings which had a direct appeal to the mind and soul. • “A person devoid of faith remains unloved and without any friends”. • “Hazrat Yusuf (AS) knew all the doors were closed even then he rushed towards one of them and all doors were opened one after the other by Almighty.

If ever you feel all the doors are closed on you, just keep this fact in mind thatyour’s and that ofHazrat Yusuf’s Allah is the same”. • “A purpose in life keeps a man alive”. • “When we turn off the lamps ourselves, then we do not get afraid of strong wind currents”. • “Always try to pray that no harm comes to any one from your side”. • “Do not complain of the cheater, rather try to ascertain why you trusted that person who was a cheat and you were unable to recognize him”. • “A parent, a teacher and a mentor, all of them serve the purpose of the voice of conscience for a person and save him from many a sins”. • “If you want peace for yourself then you should avoid disrupting peace of others”. • “If a poor man dies of starvation then the rich dies of food poisoning or over eating”. • “A person who prays, testifies to the presence of Allah, who is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent”. • “Never treat any person in such a way which you do not want for your own self”. • “Limitless desires make a person’s life very difficult and tortuous” • “Wisdom is total surrender to Allah’s will” • “A real friend enhances your happiness and decreases grief” • “Rest assured that whatever happens, happens as per Allah Almighty’s desire and whatever is His desire, is good for us”

• “Lucky is the one who accepts his fate” • “Anger is like a ferocious lion which consumes the future prospects as an enraged lion devours a goat” • “The problem with the humans is that we want lives full of luxury as Pharaoh lived and akhirat (life hereafter)as like of Hazrat Moosa (AS)” • “What difference a good dress will make at a place where no one knows about you and where everybody knows about you, there dress becomes meaningless” • “Always pray for a life in which we are pleased with Allah and He is pleased with us” • “Every deed of us disliked by Allah is a sin”
