Nazim –ud- Din

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi is following the mission of making the province agriculturally stable and making it a hub for various crops. What has been known in the past regarding the agriculture of the province of Punjab can be reintroduced by giving new innovations in the agriculture sector. Better production will be achieved through modern research on high yielding seeds for various crops of the University of Agriculture. As a result of this hard work, by the grace of Allah, we will achieve a record production of cotton this year, which is more than double that of last year, and this will not only make the farmer prosperous, but also save $3 billion in foreign exchange and value-added products. Billions of dollars will be earned by exporting. By mobilizing the agriculture sector, the administration, the agriculture department, the revenue department and others jointly conducted such an effective campaign that the achievement of the target became easy. On the instructions of the Chief Minister Punjab, the government and the related institutions produced wheat, sugarcane and oilseeds. Focusing on increasing. At present the average yield of cotton of a traditional farmer is around 30 maunds but the progressive farmer is still producing above 50 maunds.

The government aims to bring the traditional farmer to the same level or at least close to the requirement of the progressive farmer. Punjab government is determined to achieve record production of wheat this year, God willing. The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is also of great importance because it produces agriculture graduates who can develop agriculture on modern lines and help in achieving better production. How important can education and agriculture be for any nation that is currently in the ranks of developing and developed countries? The government is facing challenges in agriculture like other sectors. Obsolete methods of cultivation, traditional and cheap seeds, fake medicines and other problems are facing but these problems can be solved. Most of the agricultural issues are related to the best research. If our university focuses on research, why can’t we get better production at lower cost and revive the economy of stagnant crops, especially wheat and cotton? Cannot be used for promotion. For this, better seeds, balanced use of fertilizer, weedicide and other things should be adopted in a modern way. For this, where steps are needed at the government level, the role of agricultural university graduates, expert agricultural scientists and qualified teachers is also needed. Cannot be forgotten.

The University of Agriculture is taking the lead in preparing a ten-year strategic agriculture development plan. If 3 billion dollars can be saved with three months of effort, why is it not possible to restore the economy through agriculture? This is a national duty, a debt to the nation. Yes, we have to go ahead and make reforms using creativity. We have to approach modern machinery and modern farming methods. The price of cotton in the province of Punjab decreased to Rs 6500, on which the Prime Minister of Pakistan took immediate notice and asked for a report from the Trading Corporation of Pakistan on the request of the Chief Minister of Punjab. With these measures, Insha Allah, the rate of cotton will return and the farmers will get the profit of their hard work. The Chief Minister has instructed that the farmers should not sell their cotton at a low price, soon the farmers will be able to get the price of cotton at 8500 rupees. In this regard, the farmers of Punjab will be facilitated to get the real profit of their crop and a formal request will be made to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the purchase of cotton through the Trading Corporation of Pakistan. On the record production of cotton in Punjab, All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) organized a special function in honor of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi on the occasion of World Cotton Day. Aptma officials and its members expressed special thanks to Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his entire team for achieving the target of 8 million bales of cotton in Punjab after 11 years.

The $3 billion savings in cotton is just a result of teamwork. The Agriculture Department worked day and night to cultivate additional cotton. The Department of Agriculture was considered a dysfunctional institution but everyone in the department worked very hard. Aptama has contributed a lot to increase cotton production. The Punjab Government provided ample guidance on the cotton crop reports of the Aptama Consult Nuts. Mohsin Naqvi said that the army officials sent us images of the crops through satellite to see where the whitefly attack is taking place. Limz also keeps us updated on a daily basis. Mohsin Naqvi said that he is grateful to the Pakistan Army for its cooperation in the large-scale whitefly attack. Army helicopters and drones continued to spray whitefly-infested areas for 10 to 12 days. The white bee was fought on a war footing. Whitefly attack and floods in the Sutlej river caused considerable damage to the cotton crop. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that what the Punjab government did to save the crop was a joint effort and teamwork of all. If everyone sets a goal together, anything in the world can be achieved. 3 billion dollars will come for our farmers. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that rice worth one billion dollars was exported from Punjab last year, while rice worth two billion dollars will be exported this year. After cotton, the next target is wheat. Our objective is to maximize wheat production per acre during the current year. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the biggest problem is the seed and the farmer cultivates the seed he gets. Seed research is negligible and even those who do research plagiarize their research. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that getting the seed register is a big problem and people are stuck in the registration process for many years. First permission has to be taken from the federal government, then it takes 2 years to take permission from the Punjab government. We have done away with the rigorous process of seed approval from Punjab. Only when the best seed reaches the farmer will the farmer have a good yield. We can earn up to 6 billion dollars from a single piece of land. But along with good strategy, best seeds should be given, fake pesticides should be eliminated. Government is doing what possible for farmers. Wheat and edible oil are the next target of the government. In this regard, the whole team is trying to increase the production of wheat and edible oil. Despite the support of the government, the research institutes are not doing their duties honestly. In this regard, the research institute will be corrected and then help will be taken from the loyal government. Agricultural university and federal research institutes are conducting their research separately but the results are not positive. Unless international standard research is done, the production will not increase. The agriculture department has worked diligently. In this regard, the government will solve the transport and other related problems of the agriculture department. The Chief Minister of Punjab is going to announce a good package for the agriculture department. Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi is committed to the policy of making the province a role model for other provinces in agricultural production.

A major breakthrough has come in the agricultural sector. Preparation of triple yielding seeds of wheat, sugarcane and soybean is in final stages. After which three times more production was obtained experimentally from the seeds of wheat, sugarcane and soybean. The current production of sugarcane is 700 min while the new variety will yield 2200 min. These seeds are being considered as an important initiative for the development of the agricultural sector. The introduction of seeds into the market will triple the yield per acre of the farmers. Farmer’s income will increase and agriculture sector will flourish in real sense. With the new seeds of wheat, sugarcane and soybean, the production of crops will increase 3 times. The development of Pakistan can only be done through agriculture. If agriculture is good, everything will be fine. The University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the famous American University are working on seed development in collaboration. Cultivation of wheat seeds in the whole of Punjab will increase the production 3 times. Wheat seeds are being tested for 2 years and are getting very good results. Govt. Punjab has a mutual connection with the Department of Agriculture and the University of Agriculture for seed development. Giving 3 times more seed production will bring a positive economic change, that’s why we are working day and night on seed development. Farmers will reach N. If the yield from one acre is 3 times more then we will export the surplus crop. Whatever is needed for agricultural research. In this regard, climate change must be taken into account during the research. Soybean is a big issue in the country. I am happy that Agricultural University Faisalabad has completed the test run of soybean seeds. Due to cultivation of soybeans in Pakistan, import of soybeans will be stopped. Development is not possible without research. Something in Punjab. Agricultural universities and some research institutes are doing research. Agricultural experts of Uzbekistan took seeds of different crops from Pakistan, they have increased their production 3 times by doing research on these seeds there. Seed research is also being done rapidly in Punjab, God willing, we will increase our production. Thousands of graduates of Agricultural University Faisalabad are engaged in serving the country in every corner of Pakistan.Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired the important meeting of the Joint Review Committee of Foreign Funded Projects in the Planning and Development Board for the first time in history.

Top officials said that the institutional reforms by the Punjab government are commendable. With the support of World Bank, Agriculture and Rural Transformation Program, Green Development Program, City Program and other projects are ongoing.
