Rawalpindi,(Parliament Times) : Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaqat Ali Chatha paid a surprise visit to Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr. Hasan Waqar Cheema, MS BBH Dr. Tahir Rizvi, officials from the Building Department, and PHA were also present. Commissioner Rawalpindi reviewed the medical facilities in the hospital in detail. He visited various departments of the hospital including Dengue Ward, Blood Bang, CMO/Triage Room, Emergency, OPD, Surgical Ward, Male and Female Ward, Children Ward, and Medicine Room. He inquired patients and their relatives about the treatment, the cleanliness situation, the condition of the washrooms, and the supply of medicines. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that medical facilities are ensured in the light of the orders of the Punjab government. Any kind of negligence in the provision of medical facilities will not be tolerated. Medicines are being supplied to the patients from the medicine store of the hospital. Commissioner Rawalpindi directed that in any case the relatives of the patients should not be sent out to buy medicines. He said that people from far and wide come for treatment to BBH. By serving suffering people, the medical department is worshiping. Commissioner Rawalpindi also directed the hospital administration to further improve the sanitation situation. Commissioner Rawalpindi also reviewed the ongoing repair and beautification work in the hospital. He said that the construction and repair work should be completed soon.PHA should immediately complete the renovation work inside the hospital.
