Geneva, (Parliament Times): During the 54th Session of the Human Rights Council, APHC leader Syed Faiz Naqshbandi met H.E. Ambassador Minelik Alemu Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, and apprised him of the grim situation of IIOJK. Naqshbandi briefed the Foreign Minister that India is systematically changing the demographics of IIOJK. Jammu and Kashmir are a UN-recognized disputed territory and Kashmiris are demanding implementation of UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir in letter and spirit. However, the continued Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir has given birth to massive and systematic human rights violations there. More than 96000/- men, women, and children have been killed by Indian occupation forces. Laws have been framed by Indian authorities that facilitate human rights abuses with impunity. Freedom of expression is completely invisible in IIOJK.

Indian state reprisals and fake encounters are the order of the day and this situation has made the lives of Kashmiris miserable there. This Indian policy of target killings of innocent people is an inheritance of the Indian Government, according to the recent statement of the Prime Minister of Canada about the involvement of the Indian Intelligence agency RAW in the assassination of Sikh citizens in Canada, Naqshbandi said.

Documents regarding demographic changes and human rights abuses were presented to him.
