RAWALPINDI ( Parliament Times):  Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Ali Nawaz Malik inaugurated 3D Kohsar Cine Cinema, and Museum and Art Gallery at the Murree Arts Council. Apart from artists, Executive Director Punjab Council of Arts Dr. Syed Bilal Haider, Director Rawalpindi Arts Council Waqar Ahmed and Deputy Director Murree Arts Council Muhammad Shakoor were also present on this occasion.

Talking to the media on the occasion, Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Ali Nawaz Malik said that 3D cinema will provide the best entertainment in the tourist destination of Murree and the cinema has been re-activated after six years. He said that Murree’s 3D Cine Cinema has 300 seats and it is the most modern cinema in Pakistan in term of facilities. He said that the regular opening of this cinema was an old demand of the people of Murree, which has been fulfilled today and three shows will be shown on weekends and two shows daily in this cinema.
Secretary Information and Culture Ali Nawaz Malik said that strict action is being taken against obscenity, nudity and meaningful sentences in private and commercial theaters and this action has been taken on public complaints. He said that amendments are being made in the drama act in consultation with artists and playwrights and the aim is to provide entertainment to the public that they can enjoy with their families.
Secretary Information and Culture Ali Nawaz Malik said that the museum and art gallery will give the artists of Murree an opportunity to express their art. He said besides being a tourist destination, Murree has a whole history of its own which will be preserved in the museum. He said that they are trying to promote positive entertainment and art and culture along with tourism in Murree and clean entertainment will be provided here to the tourists coming from all over the country. He said that more artefacts are being added to the museum and this museum in Murree will be the center of the history of Murree and Pothohar region. He said that rare items of Gandhara art and craft will also be added to the museum.
