RAWALPINDI, (Parliament Times): Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) paid rich tributes to its valiant leader Shaheed Syed Irfan Ahmed Shah who embraced martyrdom on 7th of August in 1990. While remembering him on his martyrdom anniversary today, the JKLF spokesman termed him a great and noble soul.

Irfan Shah was a soft spoken but very pro-active and selfless leader of JKLF who relentlessly put everything he had for the cause of liberation movement, the spokesman added. Belonging to a pious and religious background family, the spokesman said that Irfan Shah Shaheed was a committed freedom fighter who followed his higher ups with zeal and fervour. The whole family especially his deceased father Syed Saifudin known as Daddy, would also lead people in the down town area of Gojwara Srinagar, where they lived, and would contribute in any way to make any of the JKLF programs a success, the spokesman elaborated.JKLF leadership while remembering Shaheed Irfan Shah vowed to continue the freedom struggle until the goal of independence is achieved. The spokesman said that due to unprecedented sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people, the freedom of Jammu Kashmir is destiny of the Kashmiri nation and no power, of whatsoever, on the earth can stop them from achieving it.

The JKLF leadership offered prayers in favour of the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir and prayed for their highest places in Jannah and said that their sacrifices won’t go waste. Meanwhile the spokesman, on behalf of the party leadership, highly appreciated the efforts JKLF UK leaders put-in in organising a very successful programme in London.The party’s Central Chief Organiser Sabir Gul and JKLF UK President Liaqat Lone along with their entire team worked round the clock for more than last two months and reached out to almost entire British Kashmiri Community, the spokesman said.

The impressive protest rally from Parliament Square to Indian High Commission in London held against Indian 5 August, 2019 aggression in Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir, and against the political victimisation of pro-freedom Kashmiri political prisoners including the incarcerated Chairman JKLF Mr. Yasin Malik, who on the pretext of politically motivated cases filed against him by the government agencies was unfairly convicted to life imprisonment on the directions of Mr. Modi led government of India. This impressive protest rally, amid heavy rains, widely participated by every section of society especially the old men, women and Kashmiri children was a loud and clear message to the occupational forces of Jammu Kashmir that the Independence of entire State of Jammu Kashmiri is their ultimate goal, that Yasin Malik lives in their hearts, and that Kashmiri nation can’t be subdued by the dent of force. The spokesman on behalf of JKLF leadership thanked people especially in UK who came out and raised their voice in favour of the freedom movement and expressed their solidarity with Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri prisoners.
