Nankana Sahib, (Parliament Times) : Former Federal Interior Minister Ejaz Ahmad Shah strongly condemned the events of May 9 and said that the Pakistan Army has rendered innumerable services and sacrifices for the honour and dignity of the country.
The martyrs of the country are our pride. The nation owes the sacrifices of the martyrs, the present government and the people should play an active role in exposing the evil elements, he said.
According to the details, former Interior Minister Ejaz Ahmad Shah was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Lahore due to a prolonged illness for the past month. After his recovery, he strongly condemned the events of May 9.
In his statement of condemnation, Ijaz Ahmad Shah said that he strongly condemned the heartbreaking events that took place on May 9.
This nation owes their sacrifices, we stand by our army, institutions and state in every way. The real responsibility for this unfortunate incident should be brought to justice, it is the joint responsibility of the present government and the people to play a full role in exposing these evil elements, as my health is unhealthy. I could not address you all earlier due to, I am extremely proud of Pakistan Army and every soldier associated with it, he said.
