LAHORE, (Raja Furqan Ahmed): The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday arrested nine terrorists in different districts of Punjab. According to CTD officials, nine terrorists of banned outfits were arrested during operations in Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Sargodha. The terror suspects rounded up in operations have been identified as Nazir, Fahad, Arshad, Usman, Sher Mohammad, Tahir, Wazir and Abdul Rashid. The official said explosive materials, weapons and suicide jacket-making equipment were recovered from the possession of the suspects, adding that 340 combing and search operations were conducted across the province this week and 41 suspects were detained. The officials further said the CTD will continue to operate at all levels in the fight against terrorism.
