Syria earthquake martyrs on Friday:
MIRPUR ( AJK ), (Parliament Times) : Adviser to ex-Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Hameed Shaheen Alvi has earnestly appealed to the Muslims of Pakistan and other Muslim states to offer Fateha on coming Friday February 10, 2023 for the uplift of souls of all those who have lost their lives in the February 6, 2023 devastating earthquake in Turkiey and Syria and for early recovery to the injured lot; a calamitous death is a martyrdom, therefore the Turkiye and Syrian earthquake martyrs deserve Fateha prayer from their living Muslim fraternity across the world, he urged.
Reports say thus far at least 3000 persons have lost their lives in the earthquake while several thousands families and persons and their properties stand uprooted/affected as a result of the impact of the two earthquakes, one followed by the olther in the already quake hit regions of these two brotherly Muslim countries. Other Peoples of the Book can also pray for the peace of the dead ones in their respectives worship centers/sites, he further pleaded.
Let it be recalled, Alvi said while talking to this Correspondent on this occasion that following the destructive earthquake of October 8, 2005 in Pakistan and Kashmir the world community had rushed material and rehabilitative aids to the affectees in the earthquake hit regions. Calamities and occasions of peace help join human communities together to face the consequences, he reminded.
