On the first day of the camp, various youngsters received training from the national coach. The athletes who received training will be included in the sports festival starting from February 6 at Ganga Peak.

The training camp was inaugurated by Deputy Director of Sports Youth Culture Poonch Division Sardar Luqman Farooq.

Talking on this occasion, he said that where our youth have immense talent and have their place in any sport, Allah Almighty has given us places for all kinds of sports.

SKI is a new sport for our youth and more training is needed in it. By promoting this sport, tourism will also develop and people can get employment opportunities and the government can get more revenue, he said.

District Information Officer Nasir Latif, in charge of Rescue 22 11 Rawalkot Ayaz Bazmi was also present at the inauguration ceremony.

All necessary safety measures were taken for the successful conduct of the training camp on the instructions of Additional Deputy Commissioner General Major R. Nasir Rafiq, chairman of the district committee formed for the training camp.

Officials of the Public Health Department, Rescue 22 11 and Civil Defence, and Tourism Police were present on the spot to deal with any emergency during the training session.

A large number of tourists were also present at Tuli Peer during the training camp and they enjoyed themselves.
