Considerable Prestige Of 5 January: 5 january is observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day across Pakistan and abroad as an expression of unanimity with Kashmiris. Pakistanis and Kashmiris living all over the world remark this day with such a spirit that sheer solidarity could be expressed with the people of the occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir who are engaged in making life and financial sacrifices in the freedom struggle against India. In addition to meetings, processions, and seminars at the governmental and popular levels, human chains are constructed on the Kohala Bridge and the roadways connecting Pakistan and Azad Kashmir on this day. Pakistanis reaffirm its intention to continue providing moral, diplomatic, and political assistance for occupied Kashmir. Even if solidarity is shown daily, it would still be insufficient given the worsening condition of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. Because, Indian brutality has broken all savage records.

5 August 2019 and hitherto timeline of Kashmir possession events:

On 5 August 2019, the special status of Kashmir was terminated unilaterally, in defiance of the UN resolutions, and the siege, lock-down, arrests of youths and target killings have continued until today due to the fear of resistance. Thanks to the military cantonment, the Kashmir Valley has been transformed into the largest prison in the world, where more than 90 lakh ascetics are fighting for their lives against a severe lack of food, medication, and warmth. It is a state in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent with a total area of 84,473 square miles. This state was divided into Jammu and Kashmir after 1947. At present, India forcibly occupies 39,102 square miles. Which is called “Occupied Kashmir”. Its capital is Srinagar. The rest of the region is called Azad Kashmir, which is spread over an area of 25,000 square miles and its capital is Muzaffarabad. The total population of the state is around one crore, of which four million are in Azad Kashmir. Hindu kings ruled the region for about 4 thousand years. The British sold the state of Jammu and Kashmir to the Dogra Raja Ghulab of Singh for 75 lakh rupees. The population of Kashmir consists of 80% Muslims. The Hindu king had enslaved the Muslims with a sharp sword. After the partition of India, Hindu Maharaja Hari Singh announced accession to India on 26 October 1947 against the will of the Muslims. This resulted in war between Pakistan and India.

India’s PM Jawaharlal Nehru reneged on the promise, leading to the loss of a plebiscite in the valley:

On January 1, 1949, the Security Council intervened and a ceasefire was reached. In two resolutions adopted by the Security Council in 1948, India and Pakistan were asked to withdraw their forces from Kashmir and to hold a plebiscite in the valley. At that time, Indian Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru promised to hold a plebiscite. But later he deviated from this promise. While the struggle over Occupied Kashmir is still going on, Pakistan created the state of Azad Kashmir in the territory that was freed from Indian control. The Kashmir struggle was further divided arbitrarily by India. However, in solving this problem, the United Nations global forum has recognized the demand of the Kashmiri people for a referendum.

Subtle tactics of India degrading Pakistan’s economy:

Pakistan and India are still at odds over the same matter, and both nations are engaged in this conflict. The martyrs who died there for Kashmir’s liberation are still buried with their bodies shrouded in the Pakistani flag, and the Kashmiri children still regard it as a part of Pakistan. Pakistan considers India as its worst enemy because of the Kashmir issue. Because India has suppressed the right to freedom of Kashmiris forcibly. Pakistan continues to draw attention to Indian atrocities at international forums like the United Nations and human rights organizations while fighting the Kashmir problem despite its meager resources. It is because of the support of the Kashmir issue that India continues to spew venom against Pakistan at the international level and spends millions of dollars on extensive lobbying for it. Pakistan continues to be economically weakened by India using a variety of sophisticated strategies because of Pakistan’s support for the Kashmir dispute. In the name of independence, it is trying to spread baseless propaganda against Pakistan by supporting certain elements in Azad Kashmir. The reality is that Pakistan has never opposed any choice for the freedom of the people of Kashmir.

Kashmiris seek Pakistan’s full support for freedom from India:

Kashmiris have been given full right to decide their future according to UN resolutions that they can decide to live with either India or Pakistan. But if Kashmiris want to be independent, then those who talk about independent Kashmir should try to include this option in the agenda of the United Nations instead of spewing venom against Pakistan. If the United Nations accepts this option, no one else has the right to oppose it. Azad Kashmir is a peaceful region where every person has full right to live according to their own will and freedom of expression is not restricted in any way. The people of Azad Kashmir, including the refugees from Jammu and Kashmir, have all the facilities in Pakistan that are available to a Pakistani. Rather, they have the status of a full citizen of Pakistan. However, if some people are trying to defame Pakistan despite all these freedoms, then they are playing the role of Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq against the Kashmiri people and the freedom movement of Kashmiris. Such people should be recognized by Kashmiri people and should be held accountable. Because of the sacrifices that millions of Kashmiris have made for achieving freedom, their goal is freedom from the oppression and oppression of India and the strength of Pakistan.

Human rights abuses in IOK:

The Indian Army has killed the blood relationships of mothers and sisters. The number of orphans is in the millions, but Kashmiris continue to say they want independence from India and “Kashmir Banega Pakistan”. The atrocities of the Indian forces are increasing day by day, under which not only men, women and children are being martyred but also the elderly are not being spared. The extent of the cruelty is that the eyes of the teenage boys and youth of Kashmir are being gouged out, rubber and iron bullets are being fired at them which are so deadly that they are fired on big animals like rhinoceros and elephants during hunting and are forbidden to humans. Countless people are being disabled as a result of these repression tactics.

World Forum and UN are reticent about India’s brutality: The world forum and the United Nations are also watching this brutality as silent spectators, while the champion of human rights, America, is raising its arms to improve trade relations with India. Perhaps it has recognized Occupied Kashmir as a part of India, it is busy patronizing India in one way or another. The Kashmiri people are bravely sticking to their stand. They will be independent, they cannot be intimidated or suppressed by high tactics.

What is next?

On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5 january, not only the whole of Pakistan but also the whole of Azad Kashmir fully expresses solidarity with its oppressed Kashmiri brothers. Our struggle will continue till the freedom of Kashmir and its accession to Pakistan, even if we have to sacrifice the lives of our adopted children as a result. The war of freedom of Kashmir is a war of faith and freedom, for which Kashmiris will always stand as a leaden wall. A robust lobbying effort should be made to raise awareness of Indian crimes around the world, and the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora groups overseas should fully participate in this. This is the urgent need of the hour. India is presently experiencing severe internal unrest as a result of the minority nations’ efforts to end decades of persecution brought on by India’s ombudsman behavior. Because of this, India’s minority nations are quite small, and several separatist movements are emerging. This is a fantastic chance to promote India on a global scale.
