Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has reiterated his commitment to fight for the freedom of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir with all his sincerity and raise his voice at every forum.
The PM said this during his address which was webcast live at the beginning of the New year.
The PM started his address by reciting Durood Ibrahimi and asked the viewers to repeat the same.

In his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the background of the first day of the Islamic year, which starts from 1st Muharram-ul-Haram. The PM Khan extended the new year greetings to the people of Pakistan and Kashmiris living on both sides of the LoC.

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan while referring to his government’s performance and achievements said that the holding of local body elections in Azad Kashmir was a historic achievement of the PTI government.

“According to the vision of Chairman Imran Khan, Azad Kashmir will be turned into a social welfare state”, the PM said, adding that it was a big tragedy that local body elections were not held in Azad Kashmir for 32 years. Postponement of Municipal elections, he said, had virtually paralyzed the democratic system in Azad Kashmir.

The PM said that he was sincerely trying for the welfare of the people. The Prime Minister said that if welfare states can be formed in the world, then why Azad Kashmir cannot become a complete welfare state.

He expressed the optimism that both Azad Kashmir and Pakistan would become welfare states by the grace of Allah the almighty.

The basic concept of Madinah state, he said was to establish an egalitarian system which aims to put everything in its place.
he said that a welfare state comes into existence by providing people with all their basic rights amenities of life.
He said that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan enlightened people about the concept of Madinah State.

Referring to peaceful conduct of LG polls he said that during a short period of time the PTI government had done what previous governments could not do in 32 years.

He said that the role played by the people, police and civil bureaucracy of Azad Kashmir during the local body elections was commendable.
