Muzaffarabad (Parliament Times): Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has said that the PDM government is running away from the Islamabad election because of the PTI’s heavy mandate in the recently held municipal  elections in Azad Kashmir. 
The PM said this while addressing a meeting of the newly elected members of the district council of Muzaffarabad district here on Saturday.
He said that the PDM was running away from every election due to the fear that the PTI would clean sweep. Praising people if Azad Kashmir for their role in peaceful conduct of local government elections, the PM said that the conscious citizens of Azad Kashmir have set an example for the people in rest of the country.
PTI’s historic success, he said, proved that the Imran Khan enjoyed the masses’ support at every ward level of Azad Kashmir.  He said also thanked independent members  and allies for their support in further shaping government affairs.  Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that despite all kinds of pressure, “we have transferred the power to the lower level by holding local body elections”.
He said that steps were being taken to raise the standard of living of common people.
He said that the government’s focus was to improve agriculture, livestock sectors at the local level.
 Senior Minister Khawaja Farooq Ahmad, Government Ministers Diwan Ali Khan Chaghtai, Chaudhry Mohammad Rasheed, Secretary General PTI Raja Mansoor Ali Khan, Vice Chairman Local Government Sardar Iftikhar Rashid Chaghtai and others were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister visited Muzaffarabad city without protocol. He  also paid a surprise visit to the Cardiac Hospital on Bank Road and expressed his displeasure over the failure to complete the targets given to the Health Department two months ago and asked the concerned authorities to finish the pending work and make fully operational by 31 March. He also directed the authorities to start heart surgery and cardiac level OPD in all circumstances.
 The Prime Minister said that after making the cardiac hospital operational it would be given the status of an autonomous body.
 Prime Minister said that despite the support and cooperation of the government, the health department failed to complete the targets within the given timeline , which is a manifestation of departmental negligence.
On this occasion, the PM was accompanied by Deputy Speaker Chaudhry Riaz Ahmed, Minister SDMA Muhammad Akbar Ibrahim, Special Assistant Raja Sabeel Riaz, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Masoodur Rahman, Staff Officer Saddam Naseem and others.
