Islamabad(Parliament Times): South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Suh Sangpyo has revealed that Korea has increased the manpower export from Pakistan from 1500 to 2500 per annum as the consume skilled workforce in the Korean market. He was talking to Parliament Times on Friday.  “Apart from this, the number of Pakistani students enrolled in Korean educational institutions is increasing with each passing day”. He added. He said that by establishing manufacturing unit of smart-phones in Pakistan by Korean company would further strengthen the economic and trade ties between the two friendly countries.  Pakistan and South Korea have strong economic and trade ties and efforts are being made for opening of new avenues of cooperation between two countries. Mr Sangpyo has said the diplomatic relations between the two countries are based on bilateral diplomatic and trade ties, which have deep roots in history and Korean government keen to enhance its contribution including trade, investments, education, culture and sports.

The envoy has said that trade and economic relations with Pakistan are enhancing the due potential in various sectors and Korean companies are keen to invest in energy and IT sector. He informed that Koica presently executing seven different projects worth 53.09 million dollars including supporting to national capacity building to realize girl’s right to education in Punjab and GB with an allocation of 4.67 million dollars, establishment of Pak-Korea testing laboratory with an allocation of million dollars, enhancing water quality monitoring system to achieve SDG with an allocation of 7.42 million dollars, gravity based safe drinking water supply system in Havalian with an allocation of 12 million dollars, establishment of Pak-Korea nutrition center to improved child and community nutrition in UAF with an allocation of 7 million dollars as well as strengthening of Pak-Korea technical textile center in NTU Faisalabad with an allocation of Rs 7 million dollars.
