ISLAMABAD : The ruling alliance has decided not to hold talks with PTI unless offer is made by Imran Khan for direct talks.

According to sources former president Asif Zardari has made telephonic contact with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and PDM chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The three leaders mulled over the overall political situation of the country and the offer made by PTI for holding talks through backdoor contacts.

The three leaders while rejecting once again the demand of snap election said if chairman PTI Imran Khan extends offer for direct talks then they will consider it seriously.

According to sources messages for back door talks are being sent through president Arif Alvi. However PML-N leading leaders are of the opinion that Imran Khan did not like to shake hands with the then opposition leaders for about four years. Now if he moves ahead for direct talks then PDM will respond.

In this regard Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman have decided not to take any effect from the threat of dissolution of Punjab and KP assemblies.

As per sources the big three have agreed on if the provincial assemblies are dissolved then PDM government will bring to fore its own strategy.

The three senior leaders have rejected the demand of snap election through their telephonic contact.

The three leaders have said if the talks are open and unconditional then they can think over it.

The three ruling party senior leaders have made the improvement in economic situation their target.
Therefore, government has no intent to hold election before October 2023.
