Srinagar: Komal Defence Force the well known NGO of valley had organised one day felicitation programme at Auditorium Hall of B.Ed College Srinagar where the renowned doctors, social workers, journalists,police departments,officers of district administration srinagar,NGOs etc were appreciated and honoured for giving their dedication to people and act humane to them. This step was taken after seeing their selfless service to people during tough times like covid etc during which persons belonging to above fields have played their important role in causing ease to people in their areas. Many doctors died after getting contracted and affected when dealing with covid patients, many were infected for the very long time after battling with this deadly virus. Journalists also played their role by highlighting issues of people on ground zero. Same way social activists played their role too by causing assistance to needy people by offering them daily needed stuffs.
Dr.Syed Haneef Balkhi (JKAS) was the important person to this very programme who was invited as Chief Guest by whose hands people belonging to above mentioned professions, mr tariq ahmad shera the president of ACA was honoured with the award for his tireless and selfless service in his profession of social activism.
A song on drugs namely “Mout” was also released on this occasion in front of the respected dignitaries. Mr.Tariq Ahmed Shera has played a main role in it, a role of father who died due to grief and stress after failing to convince his child towards right path who used to be addicted to drugs and in the end turns lunatic.
Mr.Tariq Ahmad Shera was appreciated for his role in the said programme and his work was hailed.
At the conclusion of programme Chairman of Komal Defence Force Suhail Ahmad Mir said such programmes will be organised in future too by his organisation i.e komal defence force to honour doctors, journalists because they have completely dedicated themselves to the service of people and they really deserve this.
