Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) :It is mandatory for everyone to follow the code of conduct issued by the AJK Election Commission in connection with the Local Government Elections 2022, but the AJK Election Commission has been receiving continuous complaints that the Prime Minister and Ministers in the corner meetings are discussing development schemes and they are making declarations of amounts which is a clear violation of the code of conduct.Regarding the code of conduct, it should be clear that the main responsibility of following the code of conduct lies with the candidate participating in the elections and it is the responsibility of every candidate to follow the code of conduct to the participants in their meetings, rallies and processions. Make ethics binding. Thus, if government resources are used or any scheme or project is announced by honorable ministers, advisers or the Prime Minister in the meeting or rally of the candidate.Legal action will be taken against the candidate for violation of the Code of Conduct which may result in fine to the candidate as well as disqualification as a candidate.Therefore, in order to avoid this, all the hopefuls should make the participants of their meetings and processions, dear guests, including ministers and advisors, bound by the code of conduct so that they do not face any legal action and also receive complaints about government employees. It is happening that they are also participating in practical politics and running the election campaign of hopefuls which is against the code of conduct and work ethics, they should also be ordered not to be a part of the election campaign otherwise they will be killed. This action may result in termination of employment and the aspirant may face legal action as well as disqualification.
