ISLAMABAD (Parliament Times): People’s Party Azad Kashmir has invited applications from the candidates for local body elections till September 27. Committees set up to receive applications and fees from candidates.
The committee will include party district presidents and ticket holders. While for the City Corporation, the city president, general secretary and ticket holder will be involved. According to the details, on the instructions of PPP AJK President Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, the party’s Central Secretary General Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has asked for applications from all the candidates of the party to participate in the local body elections by September 27.
In order to obtain party tickets for the local body elections in AJK in November, the PPP AJK has set a fee of Rs 5000 for the candidate of District Council, Municipal Corporation and Municipal Committee and Rs 3000 for the local member, which must be submitted along with the application to the party. The District Presidents will also be members of the Municipal Election Committee. Committees have also been established to receive applications from the candidates participating in the municipal elections.
The committee will include party presidents and ticket holders of each district. City corporations will include city president, general secretary and ticket holders, while for Muzaffarabad city, Sardar Mukhtar Abbasi along with president; general secretary and Rawalakot Corporation will have city president, general secretary and Sardar Abid Hussain Abid as members. Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has instructed the party ticket candidates that they should also submit the required information prescribed for the local body elections along with the application and fee.
