The Kashmir Development Foundation (KDF) on Monday approved Rs.1 million Climate Emergency Fund for the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by recent floods in Bubar area, Punial, District Ghizer, Gilgit Baltistan,says a press release.
KDF is a UK-based international development organisation working in partnership with local communities and organisations within all the regions of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Sardar Aftab Khan, Executive Director, Kashmir Development Foundation has appealed to all the organisations to cooperate in delivering humanitarian aid in a coordinated manner. KDF is encouraging individual donors, volunteers and community groups to join hands with each other to avoid duplication and deliver Emergency relief to the affected people with dignity and respect.

KDF would welcome collaboration with the local administration of District Ghizer, community representatives and organisations to design, develop and deliver long-term rehabilitation projects in Buber and other floods affected areas. Engr. Shafqat Inqalabi will be coordinating the delivery of KDF-supported projects in Ghizer. KDF Board members, Ch. Zafar Iqbal Dhamyal, Haji Akram Sattar, Sardar Aftab Khan, Asrar Abbasi, Javed Akhtar, Haji Mohammed Javed, Nassar Ghouri, Shams Rehman, Ch Noor Hussain, Engr. Khalid Parvaiz Butt and KDF volunteers Abdul Qayyum Kashir, Ansar Ali Khan, Mahmood Kashmiri, Azhar Ahmed, Yassar Naveed, Manzoor Hussain Advocate, Haji Hameed, Sofi Yasin, Haji Nawaz, Aftab Hussain, Hafiz Rafaqat, Haji Farooq, Ch Shabir, Ch Ishfaq and many other supporters are actively involved in fundraising for delivering humanitarian aid to people affected by floods.
