ROTTERDAM, Netherlands:  Pakistan’s young batting sensation Abdullah Shafique was handed his One Day Internationals (ODI) debut against Netherlands on Sunday.
However, Abdullah did not bother scorers much and was clean bowled by Kingma on his individual score of two.
Shafique was one of the three changes made in Pakistan’s playing XI for third and last fixture of three match ODI series against the Dutch. He replaced left-handed Imam-ul-Haq while Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf were all rested.
Abdullah Shafique stunned the cricketing fraternity during Pakistan’s recent series against Sri Lanka, when he snatched a Test win out of Sri Lanka’s hands by scoring magnificent hundred.
The twenty-two years old has represented Pakistan in seven Test matches so far and with an average of almost 67, Shafique has scored 736 runs. He has smashed two Test century tons and four fifties against his name. Abdullah has represented Pakistan in 3 T20I matches as well but he was yet to make his ODI debut.
