MIRPUR (Parliament Times): In response to the stay order issued by Azad Jammu & Kashmir High Court on Tuesday on a writ petition against the imposition of series of taxes imposed in the electricity bills with effect from the month of June this year , the Azad Jammu Kashmir Electricity Department has announced to grant interim relief by disbanding process of receiving fuel price adjustment charges and some sorts of general sales tax with immediate effect, it was officially said.
Secretary AJK State Department of Energy and Water Resources Muhammad Tayyeb told our Special AJK Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao Wednesday night that the power consumers across AJK have been requested to contact the nearest Sub Divisional Office / Revenue office of the AJK Electricity Department in case of any inconvenience or trouble to this direction for further query if needed.
“The top  AJK Electricity Department authorities are hecticly engaged to take  necessary measures in response to the demands by addressing the genuine grievances  of the respected consumers across Azad Jammu Kashmir”,  Muhammad Tayyeb  said adding that feasible strategy was being devised to this direction through high level mutual coordination among the concerned govt. departments and institutions directly  under the supervision of the higher authorities.
