QUETTA,(Parliament Times): In the meeting of the governing body of QDA held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan and Chairman Quetta Development Authority Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo,
the performance and affairs of Quetta Development Authority were reviewed. Director General
QDA Muzamil Hussain Haliputu briefed the meeting on the agenda items while briefing on the
authority's financial affairs, development plans, future plans, annual development and non-
development budgets and proposed schemes.

Expressing satisfaction, he said that QDA should be financially self-sufficient. He directed that QDA should improve its performance in accordance with its mandate of urban development and demonstrate its performance in practice instead of presentation. The Chief Minister said that Quetta is the biggest city of our province and there are many problems here; ensure the implementation of the building code in the
construction of housing schemes, houses and commercial buildings and the district administration in collaboration with MCQ for the construction and development and beautification of Quetta city.

The Chief Minister directed that the stalled Quetta Master Plan preparation project should be completed soon and the old and new housing schemes in the private sector should be properly regulated. He said that the Quetta Development Authority is responsible for the development of the city. QDA is an important institution in the development of Quetta, but unfortunately, due to political and other reasons, the performance of the institution has been badly affected, the result of which is being borne by the public.
The Chief Minister ordered action against those responsible for the delay in the Quetta Master Plan and other irregularities in the organization and directed that QDA should increase its revenue and take measures for the development of Quetta city which would be practical.
