Islamabad/  MIRPUR ( AJK), (Parliament times) : Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, has expressed the optimism that the day was not far when people of the Indian occupied Kashmir would be free from the shackles of India’s forcible occupation.

In his message issued on the occasion of Accession to Pakistan day, today, the AJK premier said, “The day is not far when when the people of the entire state will come together under the shadow of the green flag”.

Highlighting the historic importance of the July 19th resolution, the PM said, “Kashmiri people have made numerous sacrifices to implement the resolution of accession to Pakistan which was passed on this day in 1947”.

Despite using all means of oppression and suppression, he said that India has miserably failed to suppress the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for right to self-determination and their love for Pakistan. Terming 5th August 2019 as one of the darkest days of Kashmir history, the prime minister said, “Since the Indian government stripped the region of its special status on August 5, 2019, not a single Kashmiri is ready to talk to India”. India, he said, had stabbed in the back of Kashmiri people and snatched their identity.

“If the PTI government had not been removed from power under a conspiracy, the country’s economy would never have been so devastated”, he noted.

Talking to different delegations who called on him here today, the PM said that the PTI under the visionary leadership of Imran Khan would continue its efforts to make Pakistan stronger. He said that anti Pakistan elements who want to see Pakistan a weak state do not want a strong leader like Imran Khan.

He said that the recent elections of Punjab have proved that Imran Khan is a popular leader who enjoys great support from the masses right from Kashmir to Karachi.
