( ) According to the patrolling police, in the last month of June 2022, 667 cases of various types were registered, hundreds of accused were arrested, 04 cases were registered against alcohol and drug dealers, 644 liters of alcohol and 1840 grams of hashish were recovered and 04 cases were registered against those who possessed illegal weapons.
01 Kalashnikov, 04 pistols, 67 bullets were recovered by filing cases. 866 people traveling on the highways were provided various kinds of help, 04 advertising criminals were arrested. 502 cases were registered against drivers driving at high speed and carelessly.
02 stolen motorcycles worth 130000 rupees were recovered and 200 illegal encroachments were removed while 10 missing children were found and handed over to their parents.
Huma Naseeb SP Patrolling Multan Region added that providing security to the travelers on the highways is the top priority of the patrolling police. For this, the mobile education unit organized 06 road shows and road safety camps, 07 workshops and seminars.
Villages visited 12 hospitals and health centers, 19 petrol pumps and 16 banks.Along with this, 100 slow speed vehicles, trolleys and tractor trolleys, rickshaws, reflectors stickers were installed on different highways of Multan region.
Awareness pamphlets on the issues of wheeling and underage drivers were also distributed. Awareness was also raised by cab operators to promote patrolling police helpline 1124.
