FAISALABAD: Anti Dengue Day was observed throughout the district with the commitment to continue wage a war against dengue for getting rid of this fatal disease. In this connection an awareness walk was held to mark this day which was led by the Deputy Commissioner Lt.(R) Sohail Ashraf.

Anti- Dengue Walk started from Metropolitan Corporation and culminated on the same place after passing through different roads. ADCG Qaiser Abbas Rind, CEO DEA Ali Ahmad Siyan, CEO DHA Dr. Sulmeman Zahid, CO MCF Zubair Hussain, DPC Dr. Zulqarnain, Divisonal Forest Officers Wajehuddin Ahmad, Muhammad Ali Butt, In charge DEOC Muhammad Sadiq, the Educationalist Muhammad Akhtar Butt, officers and staff of different departments and citizens belonging to different walks of life participated in the walk. The participants of walk were carrying
banners and play cards inscribed slogans to highlight the precautionary and preventive measures against dengue.
Expressing his views, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Anti-dengue campaign will continue with more vigor and;determination, so that this significant movement could be made more affective and result oriented for ensuring complete eradication of dengue
problem and getting rid of it at any cost.
He said adding that the dengue is the common problem for all of us, which requires the strict feelings and reaction. He further urged upon the people to act upon the preventive measures with a great sense of
seriousness. He affirmed that all possible efforts are being made for the eradication of dengue at government level, and like previous years
the menace of dengue would be defeated even during this season. He said that cleanliness should be very much clear. Earlier the seminar was also held in which DPC Dr. Zulqarnain gave multi-media briefing.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the departments to give their best results during surveillance. He pointed out that, with joint efforts dengue would be defeated.
