The term Karoonjhar is a combination of two Sindhi words; karo : means black & jhar: means dots mountains are located at Nagarparkar. Scientists say that it is approximately 3.5-5 billion years ago from now.Karoonjahar is not a granite stone for us. But, it is also our national heritage. Most of the Sindhi researchers claim that in the Himalayas ranges, it is the oldest mountain after several years ago. There was a great tsunami occurred there. In Saar Daro , located there, there is a holy place for Hindus and Hindus have performed their norms etc. If someone harms it one day, the mountain itself will take revenge. Jains lived there until 1226. The desert of the Thar was a big sea. The desert was a seaport and people said that there was a business hub for Jains at that time. The barter system was inaugurated (to exchange things) after the earthquake. The geography of the business hills has changed in the hills. Jains were migrated to India. A person named Rooplo Kolhi ‘s people called his hero. He fought against the British army. Karoonjhar is like a gift for us given by martyr Rooplo Kolhi’s. The Karoonjhar mountains has itaelf unique world full of colours, ecosystem, poets. On rainy days, it has changed its appearance immediately. People have to go there to enjoy themselves & people store water for their basic needs. Tourist come here for the purpose of research. But, unfortunately, the Karoonjhar mountains are losing beauty day by day. People to do deforestation for the extraction of the unique granite stone. The Karoonjhar mountains are under threat because of the illegal sale of stone. Karoonjhar mountains are the home of birds, animals, some rare species; peacock, deer, etc. The Karoonjhar mountains are the symbolism of civilization, culture, customs, tradition, songs & religious harmony. So, each month, Sindhi people launch a campaign against stone cutting on Karoonjhar on 26 June 2022 with the hashtags #savekaroonjhar trending on Twitter. The Karoonjhar lives are the heart of the Sindhi people we love in the Karoonjhar hills. According to the 1973 constitution, the rights of the local people are associated with Karoonjhar. Article number 14 rights of respect , article number 20 rights of trade , article number 20 protection of religious places , article number 28 protection of culture, custom, tradition. So, they stopped cutting on Karoonjhar mountain. According to the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan article number 6 (High treason case), if anyone distorts the constitution, the government will sentence him to death. Did the constitution make for poor people? Everyone must follow the constitution. So it is requested by the government of Pakistan to save the Karoonjhar mountains. The illegal extraction of the Karoonjhar mountains, because in the Karoonjhar mountains many lives belonged to these hills. Action should be taken against those who do such illegal work.
