Islamabad, MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Lauding the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) for reiterating its principled stance on the issue of Kashmir the Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has said that the strongly-worded resolution in which Indian government was asked to reverse all the illegal actions it had taken on Kashmir since 5th August 2019 was a great diplomatic achievement of Pakistan.

The AJK PM made these assertions while addressing a press conference at the PTI’s Central Secretariat in Islamabad on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that it was indeed a unique privilege for the country to host the OIC conference in the federal capital after a gap of 48 years. Referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s tireless campaign against Islamophobia, he said that PM Khan has emerged as a leader of the Muslim world. “UN general assembly’s landmark decision to set 15th March as international day for combating Islamophobia is yet another big achievement and the credit for this also goes to Prime Minister Khan who raised his voice against rising tide of Islamophobia at the world forum”, the AJK PM said adding that IK was a true benefactor of Kashmiri people who projected and promoted Kashmir cause at international level.Lambasting opposition parties’ negative role in the politics, the PM Niazi said that it was quite unfortunate to note that the opposition wanted to create hurdles in holding the OIC foreign ministers conference. Terming PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto as an immature politician, he said that it would be better for young Bhutto to follow the politics of his grandfather rather than his father. He said that the opposition alliance’s constant regard to horse-trading and floor crossing suggest that they want to repeat its Changa-Manga and Murree politics. He, however, maintained that the opposition’s nefarious design to oust the prime minister would be thwarted despite all odds saying that defeating the gang of thieves was a matter of security and survival of Pakistan.Expressing solidarity with Imran Khan, the PM said that the people hailing from all three divisions of Azad Kashmir would participate in the upcoming rally in Islamabad to express their solidarity with their leader. On the occasion, the PM was accompanied by cabinet ministers and the PTI office bearers including Dewan Ali Chughtai, Muhammad Rashid, Riyaz Gujja, Raja Masoor and several others. Whereas the PTI secretary general Ershad Mahmud was present on the occasion.Meanwhile, a British delegation that called on AJK PM reiterated Kashmiri expatriate community’s resolve to highlight the Kashmir cause at international level. The PM asked the visiting delegation to raise the issue of Kashmir in the UK Parliament and expose india’s ugly face before the world.
