ISLAMABAD: Opposition leaders and three Prime Ministers (PMs) Yousuf Raza Gillani, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have cautioned if police is mounted on Sindh House then Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and interior minister will be responsible for the consequences.
They said this in a joint statement here Friday.

While cautioning interior secretary, police and Islamabad administration the three former PMs said they should not become part of any political process.
If police and administration become party to constitutional process of no trust motion then it will be sheer violation of the constitution, they warned. Those who defy the constitution or help those defying the constitution l have to be ready for punishment.

Police violence against the members of National Assembly (NA) will be considered attack on the parliament, they stated. If the parliament lodges like action is taken in Sindh House then it will entail dire consequences.

They claimed Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has failed in bringing 172 members and he is making preparations to kidnap the members of assembly through police.

The mean tactics on the part of Imran Khan are declaration that he has lost the confidence of the majority and house, they added.

Who used to say “ Nahi Choron ga” is going leaving all, they remarked. No one is ready to stay with him.

Speaker’s National Assembly criminal silence over police violence and violation of constitution bears evidence that he is subordinate to party leader than the constitution. Those attacking the constitution, parliament and democracy will be brought to dock.
