Muzaffarabad(Parliament Times): On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, an amount of 10 million announced by the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir and the most senior minister of the government Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan was handed over to the families of martyrs in a central ceremony at the Martyrs’ Monument in Muzaffarabad. President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa were also present on the occasion.
Talking to media on a ceremony, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that Kashmiris had kept Kashmir issue alive through their sacrifices and no oppression of India would eradicate their spirit of resistance. He further  stated that in the fast-paced era of modern technology and media, Kashmir issue could be better highlighted globally. “It certainly takes centuries for the independence movements to succeed and the Kashmir issue, which has a long history of sacrifices, remains the longest-running issue on the UN platform. The time is not far away when Kashmir will be able to breathe in the open air like the independent countries,” he added.
The voice raised by Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan regarding Kashmir Solidarity Day could not be digested by India and on the night of February 4, Indian hackers hacked Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan’s Twitter account which was later restored by his team.
