1979 February 11th is an important date in the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was the day when Iranians overthrew the biggest despotic ruler to establish the first Islamic State. This popular revolution sent shockwaves globally because it was based on Islamic values and principles. It drove a nail in the imperialist’s and Zionist’s coffin.Despite decades of sanctions, Iran is a regional power making remarkable progress with advancements in space technology, nanotechnology, atomic energy, medical, agriculture, engineering, and other sectors. In Iran, these celebrations are referred to as Deh-e Fajr (Ten Days of Dawn) and culminate on February 11. Millions of Iranians will march towards two major roundabouts in the center of Tehran known as Inkalab (Revolution) and Azadi (Liberation) Squares to mark the 43rd, anniversary. The title Deh-e Fajr is based on the Qur’anic verse, Wal Fajr-e waliyalin ‘Ashr, and refers to the last ten days before the remnants of the Shah’s regime were toppled. The square will be packed with a sea of humanity where children with red bandages on their foreheads, singing the national anthem, waving Islamic Republic flags, and carrying portraits of the supreme leader, General Qassim Soleimani, and the nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhri Zadeh will be on display. In 1979 many US institutions and think tanks in Washington predicted that the Islamic Republic would not last long.Iran has not only survived but flourished in spite of sanctions, remained independent, and succeeded in achieving incredible scientific progress in spite of the sanctions and freezing billions of dollars of Iranian assets Islamic Iran has emerged as the regional power, while the US has been humiliated in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.Iran not only defeated the ISIS terrorists but successfully defeated US-Zionist policies in the Middle East and form an Islamic resistance from Palestine to Yemen. The Islamic Revolution was born in 1979 in the midst of two monsters of capitalism and communism.Imam Khomeini neither accepted east nor west, but firmly believed in autonomous Islamic State, and the self-reliant doctrine of Wilayat-al-faqih (Governance of the Jurist). The influence of the Islamic Revolution has spread far and wide; it is not confined to any particular religion or ethnicity. Many Sunni Muslims have not supported or appreciated the importance of the Islamic Revolution largely as the result of relentless propaganda by the Bedouin Kingdom and Zionist Western media outlets. And, unfortunately, there is a similar lack of understanding even among some Shi’is who believed in an ideology known as “quietism” (APOLITICAL).A non-confrontational form of Islam, and refuse to take any steps against injustice in the absence of Imam Mahdi However, they have ignored the standing up of Moses against Pharoah, Prophet Abraham’s confrontation with Nimrod, revolt against Yazid ibn Muawiya by Imam Hussain and Syedana Zainab. They say, let the world be ruled by tyrants and oppressors; let injustice prevail until Imam Mahdi re-appears from the occultation. It is not our duty to Speak Up! Iran pursues its political goals free from external interference. It chooses who to associate with, who to trade with and who to support. The Islamic Republic of Iran is blessed with its oil and gas wealth as well as its highly educated population, which has made formidable inroads in the areas of science and technology. In spite of the sanctions, Iran makes highly sophisticated military equipment. The Google CEO said that Iran is so far advanced in technology that it could hack into US drones and land them safely.Iran is one of the top ten countries in the world in stem cell research and nuclear technology. Iran is an orbital-launch-capable nation since 2009.Iran is one of the twenty-four founding members of the United Nations Committee on the peaceful uses of outer space, which was set up in 1958.Iran has launched numerous Satellite Launch vehicles (SLV). The most recent one was on February 1st, 2021, on the last anniversary of the Islamic republic known as Zuljanah – the name of the horse of Imam Hussain.Lastly, in order to revive Islamic civilization, we need to eradicate systemic imperialism, racism, establish Islamic State based on popular governance, excel in education, create innovative economies and enforce basic social justice.
