Rawalpindi,  (Parliament Times) :  Technical training, skills courses and educational programs are needed to be linked to the demands and needs of the industry and job market if we look towards reducing unemployment from the country.

This was stated by the Chief Executive Officer of Knight Human Management (KHM) Shalaan and GL Pakistan Mr. Khalid Nawaz who was speaking as chief guest at a concluding ceremony of two days training workshop conducted by the Institute of Audit, Accounts and Tax Training held here in KHM. Trained Expert Professional training workshop was attended by a large number of students of tax advisory including lawyers and tax professionals.

Khalid Nawaz said that hiring the tax advisory services had become mandatory for trading firms and industries thus the vast number of professional tax advisors were needed in the job market. “Trained Expert Professional program has been modeled keeping in view the same need and educated youth including law graduates must gain this training to become professional tax advisors”, he added. He said skilled manpower was important to meet the needs of the industrial sector and to put the country on the path of socio-economic development. He said provision of skills like tax advisory by training institutes and universities could significantly help in generating employment opportunities in the country. He admired the efforts of Institutes of Audit, Accounts and Tax Training towards this direction and stressed the need for establishing linkages and partnerships between training institutes and the industrial sector, saying that collaboration was critical in imparting marketable technical and professional skills and creating employment opportunities for youth.

He said that the trading and industrial sectors were facing a shortage of skilled workforce and urged the universities and technical training institutes to produce employable graduates as per the requirements of the market. He also stressed the need of raising awareness about the training and skill development programs being offered by the universities and training institutes.
