Mirpur,(Parliament Times): Azad Kashmir Additional Chief Secretary and Physical Planning and Housing Fayyaz Ali Abbasi has said that according to the guidelines and priorities of Azad Kashmir government, such planning should be done to harmonize the quality and pace of development projects with modern times. Mirpur is the forerunner of Azad Kashmir, the city of overseas and affected Mangla Dam as well as the industrial city of Azad Kashmir for which the quality of development projects should be excellent. To make the Prime Minister’s New Pakistan Housing and Development Program a success, on the instructions of President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry and Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, identification of area for housing project in Mirpur, upgrade of Officer Colony and other construction works. Effective measures will also be taken for projects. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held during his visit to Mirpur. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Physical Planning and Housing Sardar Mohammad Afraz, Commissioner Chaudhry Mohammad Raqib Khan, DG Development Mirpur Chaudhry, Imran Khalid, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Umar Azam Khan, SE Building Sardar Aurangzeb, Exxon Building Prince Aurangzeb, Assistant Commissioner Munir Ahmad Qureshi, Tehsildar Syed Kaleem Abbas Shah, Information Officer Muhammad Javed Malik attended. The meeting was briefed on development projects under New Pakistan Housing and Development Program, Officer Colony and Physical Planning and Housing Department. Later, Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary Physical Planning and Housing Fayyaz Ali Abbasi visited various sites in Mirpur for the New Pakistan Housing and Development Program and inspected the site. He directed the management to prepare a complete report of various sites for this project so as to ensure implementation of the project. On this occasion, all the issues related to resettlement of additional families of the affected Mangla Dam will also be taken into consideration. These will be resolved as per the instructions of the government
